BRAC Bank has contributed 1,000 pieces of imported face shields to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), says a press release.

The contribution came on to help DMP ensure the safety of police personnel, who are working at field level to prevent COVID-19 outbreak in the country. BRAC Bank’s Head of General Services and Procurement Brigadier General Tushar Kanti Chakma (Retd.) and Head of Safety and Security Arif Chowdhury handed over the CE certified face shields at DMP headquarters on May 13, the release says.

Brig. Gen. Tushar (Retd.) said, “As a values-driven organization, BRAC Bank is determined to extend its support to the frontline heroes in the fight against COVID-19. Police are at the forefront. They are doing a commendable job not only by ensuring law enforcement, but also in making citizens stay at home, maintain social distancing, providing relief and taking the affected to hospitals. Their protection is extremely important to get hold of the pandemic situation. BRAC Bank is proud to be allied with them”.

Earlier this month, BRAC Bank has also contributed PPEs for the health care providers at BSMMU.
