CHATTOGRAM: Chattogram Custom House (CCH) has called an auction for 69 kinds of goods to clear the jetties of Chittagong sea port. The auction will be held on August 14 next.
Sources said CCH will hold an auction for the goods which were not taken by the importers.
The 69 categories of goods include fabrics, I-set mold, metal frames, washing chemicals, finishing agents, advertising samples, smart-phone and phone packs, LED TV, potassium hydroxide, palm oil, black oil, thinner, hydraulic oil several types of chemicals, machinery etc.
The bidders started collecting the related papers to participate in the auction from Thursday last. The sale of papers has ended on Wednesday. The bidders can submit the papers by today (August 11).
Deputy Commissioner of CCH Ali Reja Haider said, "Auction is a regular process of CCH. The next auction will be held on August 14."
