CVO Petrochemical Refinery signs deal to procure oil tanker

CHATTOGRAM: The CVO Petrochemical Refinery Limited is procuring an oil tanker to carry naptha and oil from the concerned companies of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).

The CVO Petrochemical Refinery Limited signed an agreement with M/s M A Bashar & Company for procuring the ship.

The agreement was signed by CVO Petrochemical Refinery Limited Chairman Shamsul Alam Shamim and M A Bashar, the owner of MA Bashar & Company at the office of CVO Petrochemical Refinery Limited at Katalganj in Chattogram on Saturday.

Among others, CVO Petrochemical  Refinery Limited's Director Mohammed Amin, company secretary Khwaja Mainuddin, Finance Manager Mohammed Faruk and top officials of both companies were present at the signing ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Khwaja Mainuddin said, "We are procuring a oil tanker with the capacity of 2073 tonnes from MA Bashar & Company. They will supply the ship from Japan." The CVO Petrochemical Refinery Limited signed an agreement with BPC to carry naptha and oil in the country on September 22 in 2019 last. As a result, they are procuring the ship to carry the oil and naptha from the concerned companies of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation.
