DSE extends losing streak for fourth consecutive session

The Dhaka bourse extended its losing streak for fourth consecutive session on Wednesday as major sectors failed to support the market.

The market opened the session with a negative note and the broad index declined for an hour on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). 

After two hour of the session, the DSE broad index DSEX declined 0.36 per cent or 19.32 points to close at 5260.72 points.

The shariah based index DSES and DS30 index also declined marginally.

Of total issues are being traded, only 93 advanced, 220 declined and 39 were unchanged on the premier bourse DSE.

The turnover value stood at above Tk 1.87 billion at 12.30pm.

Prime Insurance Company was on the top of the turnover chart followed by Asian Tiger Sandhani Life Growth Fund, Rupali Insurance and Runner Automobiles.
