Emirates to resume services to five more destinations

Emirates will resume flights to five more destinations in the beginning of October, says a press release.

Emirates will resume flights to Johannesburg (Oct 01), Cape Town (Oct 01), Durban (Oct 04) in South Africa, Harare in Zimbabwe (Oct 01), and Mauritius (Oct 03).

The addition of the five points will expand the Emirates’ global network to 92 destinations and African network will also extend to 19 cities.

Tickets can be booked on emirates.com, the Emirates App, Emirates sales offices, via travel agents as well as online travel agents.

The airline now operates seven weekly services to Dhaka and via Dubai offers convenient connections to over 80 cities worldwide.

Emirates will operate to Harare with two weekly flights linked to its Lusaka service. Flights from Dubai to Mauritius will initially operate once a week on Saturdays.

Travellers with Emirates now can stop over or travel to Dubai as the city has re-opened for international business and leisure visitors. Ensuring the safety of travellers, visitors, and the community, COVID-19 PCR tests are mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers arriving to Dubai (and the UAE).

Dubai was one of the world's first cities to obtain Safe Travels stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). Emirates offers Dubai visa at their office counter in Dhaka.

Emirates has committed to cover COVID-19 related medical expenses, free of cost, should they be diagnosed with COVID-19 during their travel while they are away from home. This cover is immediately effective for customers flying on Emirates until  October  31, 2020 (first flight to be completed on or before October 31, 2020), and is valid for 31 days from the moment they fly the first sector of their journey.

The airline has implemented a comprehensive set of measures at every step of the customer journey to ensure the safety of its customers and employees on the ground and in the air, including the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and antibacterial wipes to all customers.
