Acting Jatiya Party President GM Quader has confirmed that his brother Hussain Muhammad Ershad will be laid to rest at the army graveyard in Dhaka, following his last funeral prayer in Rangpur.

He confirmed this to the media before flying off to Rangpur with the mortal remains of 90-year-old deposed military dictator on an Air Force helicopter around 10:30am on Tuesday, reports bdnews24.com.

After having been on life support for 10 days, Ershad breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka on Sunday morning. He had been suffering from myelodysplastic syndrome or a low-level of haemoglobin in his blood for long.
