Five Nigerian footballers among seven held in city 'for fraud'

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested seven people, including five Nigerian footballers, over allegations of fraud.

The detainees were arrested from various areas of Dhaka on Sunday, said CID Assistant Commissioner Sharmin Jahan, bdnews24 reports Monday.

“CID conducted an operation after receiving information that the football players were involved in fraud and committed crimes.’’
