A teenage girl went missing after a boat sank in a water body at Mirapara in Sylhet city on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Fatema Akhter Mili, 17, daughter of Babul Mia of Mirapara Evergreen Residential area.
Fatema along with three of her friends went for a boat trip at a water body around 5 pm, said sources at the local Fire Service and Civil Defence office.
At one stage, the boat sank in the water body, but all of them accept Fatema managed to swim ashore.
A team of divers from local firefighting unit rushed there and conducted search operation to find the girl who remains missing, reports UNB.
