The government has fixed the prices of salted rawhide of sacrificial cows ahead of Eid-ul-Adha at Tk 40 to Tk 45 per square foot in Dhaka and Tk 33 to Tk 37 outside the capital.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi disclosed the price at a virtual meeting with the tanners on Thursday.
Besides, the price of goat hide is fixed at Tk 15 to Tk 17 per square foot while the price of Baqri hide is set at Tk 12 to Tk 14 per square foot.
Last year, the price of salted rawhide of cow was fixed at Tk 35 to Tk 40 per square foot in Dhaka and Tk 28 to 32 outside.
Besides, goat hide price was Tk 13 to Tk 15 per square foot while Tk 10 to Tk 12 per square foot was fixed for Baqri hide.
