‘Haldaa’ to be screened at IU on April 22

'Haldaa', a film on the struggling life of fishermen in Halda River, directed by Tauquir Ahmed, will be screened at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on April 22.

Islamic University Film Society (IUFS) will organise the screening at Bir Shrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium of the university, M Zulkar Nain, secretary of IUFS said on Saturday evening.

The viewer will have to buy ticket from university's different faculties and dormitories, reports UNB.

The film will be screened twice a day on April 22, he added.

The film is narrated in local Chattogramian dialect and its plot is based on the struggling life of the fishermen of Halda River located in Chittagong, the only natural fish breeding centre in Asia.
