IUB organises Korean Fair

The Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) hosted Korean Fair aiming to showcase and celebrate intercultural diversity on Tuesday.

The event, organised by the K-Club under the Department of Media and Communications, was hed at the university gallery.  

The inaugural ceremony took place at 11:30 AM, said a press release.

The chief guest of the event was Prof. M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB and the special guest is Min-jeong Cho, Cultural Attache, Embassy of The Republic of Korea.

At the inaugural speech, Prof. M. Omar Rahman said, “This initiative gave us the opportunity to learn about Korean culture and its diversity in a better manner. It’s a great experience for our students.”

Dr. Mahbub Alam, Dean of School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Dr. Zakir Hossain Raju, Head of Department of Media and Communications and Ms. Raiyana Rahman, Coordinator of K-Club were also present at the ceremony, among others.

The event’s attractions included interactive games, live K-Pop music and dance performances, authentic Korean cuisine, Korean skincare, hair care and makeup merchandise and a photo-booth, added the release.
