JCI Bangladesh elects its new leaders

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh elects its executive body and board members for the year 2020 at a hotel in the capital on October 19, says a press release.

Sarah Kamal has been elected the national president for the next term. Sarah Kamal holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and, Media and Mass Communication. She is a professional consultant and serves as a Director of Indenting and Solar Company. Moreover she has been serving as the Treasurer of School of Hope for the past 6 years. She is an international trainer who has conducted trainings in Canada, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, India and Bangladesh. On the event, she shared her vision for 2020, she emphasized on the fact that JCI Bangladesh will be working on developing leaders for a changing world. She also mentioned that in the coming days JCI Bangladesh shall act as the platform to provide necessary support to local organisations and its members to accelerate the growth and enlarge their positive impact in the society. 

Arman Khan and Sakib Ahmed have been elected as the executive vice presidents. Arman A Khan completed graduation from James Cook University in Singapore, majoring in International Business. He is the director of Magnus Corporation Limited, an ICT solution company that works with cutting edge solution with the goal of bringing right technology to right people. Arman A Khan is also the co-founder member of Casper Foundation, a Bangladeshi non-profit organisation which works with university students.

Sakib Ahmed is the deputy managing director of Broadway Group. Brodway Group, established in 1983, has been into RMG manufacturing, textiles, river transportation, IT, imports etc.

Abrar Hossain Sayem, Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan, Abu Taleb Siddique and ShahedulAzam have been elected as vice presidents.  Erfan Haque has been selected general legal counsel, Ismat Jahan as secretary general, Salehin F Nahian as treasurer, Irfan Islam as immediate past president, Mehedi Hossain as training commissioner, Mehnaz Huda, Mahira Habib, Shaheen Ismail (Mona), Asib Akram Auvi, Ashim Kumar Das and Abdullah Safi as directors.

JCI works with youths aged 18 to 40 for the advancement of the global community by providing the opportunity for young people to develop the leadership skill, social responsibility, fellowship and entrepreneurship necessary to create positive changes.
