Magura clash leaves 10 injured

At least ten people were injured in a clash over establishing supremacy at Jashpur village under Mohammadpur upazila in Magura on Thursday morning.

Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station, said Azam Sardar and Bacchu Sardar, two activists of Awami League, had been at loggerheads over establishing supremacy in the area.

As a sequel to the enmity, the supporters of both groups had an altercation over the issue in the morning, triggering a clash that left ten people injured, according to UNB news agency.

Four houses were vandalised during the clash.

Of the injured, four people were taken to Mohammadpur upazila health complex.

On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
