A man was killed and another injured in a road accident in Science Laboratory area in Dhaka early Sunday.
The accident took place when a speedy private car hit a rickshaw in the area around 12:30am, leaving its passenger and puller critically injured, said sub-inspector Jasim Uddin of Dhanmondi Model Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Md Alamgir, 40, from Nalchity upazila in Jhalokati district, reports UNB.
The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where Alamgir succumbed to his injuries.
Rickshaw puller Ruhul Amin is now undergoing treatment at the hospital, added the police official.
