Minor boy killed after failing off bridge in Cumilla

A minor boy was killed after he fell from a bridge and drowned in the canal in Jagannatpur village under Debidwar upazila in Cumilla on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Jesan, 5, son of Saudi expatriate Dulal Mia of the village in the upazila.

Family members said Jesan fell from the bridge and drowned in the canal while he was playing alone on the bridge without railings near his house at noon, reports UNB.

Later, locals recovered the body from the canal, said MA Salam, chairman of the local union parishad.
