Police in a special drive arrested 23 people, including drug traders and sex workers, from different areas in Netrokona district town early Sunday.
Md Borhan Uddin, officer-in-charge of Netrakona Model Police Station, said a team of police conducted the drive from 12:00am to 3:00am and arrested 23 people including seven drug traders, six sex workers, and 10 other fugitive accused.
Police also seized 105 piece Yaba tablets, 502 gram of heroin, one kilogram hemp during the raid, says a UNB report.
The drug traders are identified as Mehbah Uddin Rigan, 28, his brother Pankaj Molla, 25, Humayun Kabir, 45, Md Nayan, 28, Hira, 36, Masum 45, and Chan Khan 48.
