LIFE is not easy for the city commuters as going from one place to another is not easy, particularly on the weekdays. I was glad to know that the authority has taken an initiative to start an air-conditioned bus service for Gulshan area from the 10th August, i.e., today.
The number of buses will be 30 and it will surely reduce the sufferings of the commuters of the area. Gulshan is an important area of Dhaka, but the public transport system there is as poor as it is in the rest of the city. Commuting in Dhaka is particularly troublesome for female passengers. A good public transport system will help ease their sufferings and reduce traffic congestion too. It will also discourage people to buy private cars, a main cause for congestion.
