NSU holds faculty orientation, development workshop for Summer and Fall 2022

A two-day Faculty Orientation and Development Workshop for Summer and Fall 2022 was held at North South University (NSU) recently.

A good number of full-time and adjunct faculty members joined the orientation workshop, arranged by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of NSU, according to a statement.

The objective of the programme was to make the new faculty members aware of the NSU rules and regulations, and available services and to discuss outcome-based teaching and assessment methods, curriculum development, research opportunities etc.

Prof Dr M Ismail Hossain, pro vice-chancellor of NSU, welcomed the new faculty members and discussed the concepts of ethics in teaching. The respected deans from School of Business and Economics, School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Health and Life Sciences talked about their respective schools and discussed the importance of faculty training programmes. The event was moderated by the IQAC Director Prof Dr Nazmun Nahar.
