An elderly man was hacked to death during a clash over a land-related dispute at Tongibari Upazila of Munshiganj.
The incident occurred at Kandapahra village of the Upazila on Saturday night, said Md Yardous Hasan, Officer-in-Charge of Tongibari Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Shah Alam, 55. His body was kept at the morgue of Munshiganj General Hospital.
On the way back home, Alam and Ali Hossain came under attack at Sheikhund Bazar over the land dispute with Rasel and Sohel, said OC Hasan.
He said the attackers fled the scene leaving him and Ali injured. Alam and Hossain were rushed to the hospital and the doctors declared declared Alam dead. Ali was still admitted to the hospital.
