Police arrested five persons who were impersonating as members of detective branch (DB) of police from Kamlapur area in Dhaka on Sunday morning.
"We arrested five fake DB personnel in front of Biswas Tower in Dakhhin Kamlapur area around 10am on Sunday," a sub inspector (SI) of Motijheel Police Station said, reports BSS.
They also recovered three jackets of DB police, one wire-less set, one pair of handcuff, one locally made shooter-gun and six round cartridges of shot-gun and a private car from their possessions, he also said.
The arrestees were wanted in several numbers of criminal cases filed with different police stations in Dhaka and Narayanganj.
A case was lodged with Motijheel Police Station to this end.
