Police arrest man for ‘raping’ 5yr old girl in Chapainawabganj

A 48-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl in the Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila on Friday.

The arrestee was identified as Mostafa alias Mosta, 48, son of Shetu Mandal of the upazila, reports UNB.

"Mostafa took the girl to a lemon orchard on Thursday afternoon and raped the girl," said Kabir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

The victim's mother filed a case with sadar model police in the night. The victim has been sent to a hospital for medical tests.

Police raided the area early in this morning and arrested Mostafa.
