Police arrested a woman along with a gold bar, weighing one kg, from Pather bazar in Khulna city on Thursday.
The arrestee is Kulsum Begum, 40, wife of Abu Taher of Morelganj upazila in Bagerhat district, reports UNB.
Tipped off, a team of police intercepted a Bagerhat-bound bus from Benapole and arrested the woman along with the gold bar worth Tk 4.0 million, said Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Khanjahan Ali Police Station.
