Police arrested a female cricketer along with 14,000 pieces of Yaba pills from a bus at Natun Bridge area under Bakalia Police Station in Chattogram on Sunday morning.
The arrestee is Nazrin Khan Mukta, 23, a regular player of Dhaka Primer League Ansar Team and daughter of Abul Khair of Trishal Mathbari in Mymensingh district, reports UNB.
Pranab Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Baklia Police Station, said when Mukta was going to Cox's Bazar from Dhaka by a bus police stopped it and recovered the Yaba pills from her possession.
Mukta confessed that she used to collect Yaba from Chittagong and supply those to Ripon in Dhaka.
Necessary legal steps would be taken in this connection, the OC added.
