Police recovered the throat-slit body of an unidentified young man from the Garai River in Magura district on Friday.
According to Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sripur Police Station, local people spotted the body in the river that goes past Chakda village in Sripur upazila and informed them.
The body was then recovered and sent to hospital for autopsy, UNB reported.
Police said miscreants might have committed the murder in another place and then dumped the body in the river.
