A madrasa teacher in Tangail has sought salvation of departed soul of the killers of Father of the Nation Banghabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The madrasa teacher, Dr. Faizul Amir Sarker, was conducting munajat at a special prayer programme in district's Gopalpur Upazila Freedom Fighters' office on Saturday morning marking victory day.
During the munajat, Faizul sought salvation of the departed soul who were hanged in connection with killing of Banghabandhu.
Upazila chairman Yunus Islam Talukder, upazila nirbahi officer Dilruba Sharmin and many others were present at that time.
Officer-in-charge of Gopalpur Police Station Al Mamun said police detained Faizul and started a process of case against him Immediately after the incident
According to UNB, detained Faizul works as the principal of Gopalpur Kamil Madrasa and hailed from Muradnagar upazila in Comilla district.
