Primary, Ebtedayee exams begin Nov 17

The primary and Ebtedayee terminal examinations will begin from November 17 across the country.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education M Zakir Hossain said this at a press briefing at the ministry.

The examinations are scheduled to end on November 24.

This year, 25,53,267 students will sit for the Primary terminal examinations. Of them, 11, 81,300 are boys and 13,71,967 girls.

Besides, 3,50, 371 students – 1,87,082 boys and 1,66,281 girls – will attend the Ebtedayee terminal examinations.

The examinations will be held at 7,458 centres across the country.

Besides, 615 students will sit for the examinations from eight countries, UNB reported.

English examination will be held on November 17, Bangla on November 18, Bangladesh and Global Studies on November 19, Elementary Science on November 20, Religion and Moral Education and Arabic, Quran Majid and Tajweed on November 21 and November 23 and Mathematics on November 24.

The three-hour examinations will begin from 10:30am.

State Minister Zakir said the authorities concerned have been asked to take necessary steps for holding examinations in Barishal, Chattogram and Khulna districts which were damaged during the cyclone Bulbul.

Besides, books of the students in the respective areas were also damaged and the authorities were asked to provide books so that the students can properly prepare for the examinations, he said.
