Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed of Accounting & Information Systems Department of Dhaka University (DU) has been appointed as treasurer of the university.
According to the act, 14 (1), 1973, DU order, President and University Chancellor Abdul Hamid on Wednesday appointed Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed for the next four years.
On Thursday, Prof. Mamtaz Uddin joined the post officially with maintaining social distance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prof. Mamtaz has published 42 research articles in national and international journals. He was born in Cumilla on March 10, 1958, and joined as a lecturer at the Accounting Department of DU in 1986. He became professor of that department in 2004.
