Rapid Action Battalion members arrested a young man along with 2,420 Yaba tablets and 58 grams heroin in Beanibazar upazila of Sylhet district on Friday night.
The arrestee is Abdur Rahman Monu, 35, son of Mosabbir Ali of Fatehpur village in the upazila.
Senior assistant director of Rab-9 M Moniruzzaman said a team of the battalion conducted a drive at Fatehpur around 10pm and arrested Monu along with the contraband drugs.
Later, he was handed over to police, the Rab officer said, claiming that the youth had long been involved in drug peddling, reports UNB.
