RAB arrests two ‘drug traders’ with Yaba in Chattogram

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested two suspected drug traders along with 49,600 Yaba tablets from Karnaphuli area in the Chattogram city early Saturday.

The arrestees are Md Sabdul Sheikh, 39, son of Md Azgar Sheikh, and Nur Amin, 20, son of late Nur Mohammad , hailing from Boalmari upazila in Faridpur.

Being informed that a consignment of Yaba was being sent to Dhaka from Cox's Bazar, a team of RAB-7 set up a checkpost on the south side of Notun Bridge under Karnaphuli thana around 12:35am.

When the team signaled a truck driver to stop, he tried to flee with the truck, UNB reported.

Later, the team managed to arrest two drug traders from the truck and seized 49,600 Yaba tablets.
