Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two people and recovered fake notes worth Tk 157,000 from Rail station area under Akkelpur upazila in Joypurhat on Tuesday night.
The arrestees were identified as Samad Mandol, 50, and M Abdul Kuddus, 35, residents of Mahadevpur upazila in Naogaon district.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the area and arrested the duo with the fake notes, a RAB official said.
A case was filed with Akkelpur Police Station in this connection, reports BSS.
