Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two people and recovered Indian liquor worth around Tk 2 lakh from their possession at Muksedpur area of Tahirpur thana in Sunamganj district on early Monday.
The arrestees were identified as Chan Mia (40), son of Madar Ali and Md Jahangir Alam, (20), son of Md Shahjahan Mia, both hailing from Muksedpur, said a RAB press release.
Based on secret information, a team of RAB conducted a drive around 2 a.m in a residential house of the area and arrested the two, recovering bottles of Indian whiskey.
Later, detainees were handed over to Tahirpur Police Station, UNB reports.
