RAB detains two with Phensidyl, heroine in C’nawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in separate drives arrested two perpetrators with banned narcotics from different areas under Chapainawabganj district.

In a raid on Saturday night, the elite force detained one drug pedlar along with 1.125 kilograms of heroin from Khoribona Rodpara area in sadar upazila of the region.

The arrestee was identified as Jahid, 27, son of late Ashraful of Goraipara village in the upazila.

Being informed that that a gang of drug traders gathered together for selling heroin, a team of RAB-5 conducted the drive and arrested Jahid along with the drug, according to a RAB press release.

Members of RAB arrested another suspected drug pedlar from Boroteghoria Bridge area in Gomostapur upazila early Sunday.

The arrestee was identified as Laltu, 28, son of Malek Kashtur of Tinbariarea under Radhanagar union, said a UNB report.

According to the RAB press release, on information, a team of RAB-5 conducted a drive in the northern side of Boroteghoria Bridge at around 12:45 am and arrested Laltu along with 477 bottles of contraband Phensidyl syrup worth Tk 333,000.
