Two motorcyclists were killed in a collision with a truck and a motorcycle in Kalukhali upazila of Rajbari district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abdullah Abu Saeed, son of Abu Farhad of Mathurapur village under Kushtia's Daulatpur upazila and Shimul, son of Hamidul of the same village.
Gandhimara Highway Police OC Liaquat Ali said, “The motorcycle was going from Kushtia to Rajbari. A motorcyclist was killed on the spot when he collided head-on with a truck while crossing the Sonapur junction on the way. The other was taken to Pangsha Upazila Health Complex in critical condition and the doctor declared him dead. ”
Police seized the truck but the driver escaped. The OC said preparations were underway to file a case over the incident.
