A suspected robber was killed in a reported gunfight between two groups of robbers in Ruhutia bricks field area in Sadar Upazila of Feni early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Kabir Hossain, 50, son of Abul Khalek Betu Miah, a resident of Dhonikunda village in Parshuram upazila.
Rashed Khan Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Feni Model Police Station, said being informed by locals they recovered the bullet-hit body of Kabir from the spot.
Kabir was accused in 10 cases including of robbery.
Police recovered a pistol, a cartridge and a bullet shell from the spot, reports UNB.
