Other doctors and staff of the department have been sent on isolation, reports UNB.

The hospital authorities on Saturday said two coronavirus patients came for treatment concealing his condition and caused the disaster.

Two coronavirus patients got admitted to the orthopaedic department hiding the fact they tested positive for COVID-19 and underwent treatment for several days, said the department’s surgeon Sudip Halder said.

“The whole department has been locked down,” Halder said.

The orthopaedic department is operating on a limited scale. The two coronavirus patients have been sent to the corona ward of the hospital, doctors said.
