The Rajshahi University Business Club (RUBC) has successfully arranged a national business-case competition titled CaseCation, sponsored by EduXpert, a global immigration and education service provider.

After having success in some intra-university competitions, RUBC is representing the University of Rajshahi on national level now. The first edition of the flagship event kicked off this year on August 10. Undergraduates, interested in getting a pragmatic taste of the corporate rush, registered for the hyped competition forming teams of a maximum of three.

The competition was held online and more than 150 teams were registered. A workshop was also held. The first round was a three-day event. Top 20 teams made it to the semifinal. Among them, five teams with the best solutions advanced to the final.

The grand finale, held on September 12, had two parts— case solving and presentation. It was a significant surprise for both the audience and the competing teams. The toppers had to convince the judges that their solution for the problem was the most authentic one. Not only that, they also had to come up with innovative ideas along with a comprehensive business model.

After a head-to-head battle, Team Mystique from IBA-DU took the trophy home. The first and second runners-up were The Garrison from IBA-DU and Team Incognito from BUP. The winners were awarded prize money along with other goodies.

The grand finale judges panel included corporate personalities like SM Samiuzzaman, Rishad Hossain, Shafiqur Rahman Liton and Ashraful Ehsan. RUBC's advisor Prof Dr Shah Azam helped in the successful completion of the event.
