Tangail road crash leaves three dead

Three people were killed when a, unknown vehicle rammed a CNG run auto-rickshaw at Hatia under Kalihati upazila in Tangail on Friday.

One of the deceased was identified as Sabur Mia, 35, son of Akter Ali of Sarpalshia in Bhuapur upazila. He was the CNG run auto-rickshaw driver.

The identities of two others could not be known immediately.

Mosharraf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station, was quoted by UNB news agency as saying that the accident took place at around 6:00 am when the Northern districts- bound vehicle hit the CNG run auto-rickshaw, leaving its driver dead on the spot and two passengers injured.

The injured were taken to Tangail General Hospital where the doctors declared them dead.
