Over the years educational models have changed in step with society, adapting to the circumstances and needs of each era. The educational reality today is nothing like that of one century ago. The concept of the school as people understand it today -- an institution complementing family-based education -- played an important role in Ancient Greece. It is the technology for which people have access to more customised education, making it possible to meet the specific needs of each student, adapting the pace of learning to his or her capacities.

Using technology in the classroom has been proved one of the most effective learning tools of recent times. The sounds and graphics of computers have their own way of grabbing children's attention. A difficult sum suddenly becomes interesting when it is introduced by a game. Technology can make students actively participate in learning, engaging in problem-solving, mastery learning, and conversation. They have the control to make things happen and can play and replay activities while experimenting with variations.

The use of technology is getting integrated into many classrooms around the world, including Bangladesh.  Delhi Public School STS School Dhaka (DPS STS) is one of the few schools which have computers in every classroom through which the teachers conduct interactive learning sessions with the students. The interactive smart class system provides tools and content for interactive self-paced learning by the students, and rich-media presentations for teacher-led classroom learning.

DPS STS School Dhaka provides STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) kits to the children of grade one to seven in the Science and Technology classes. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines -- science, technology, engineering, and mathematics -- in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teaching the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications. Schools all over the world are using STEM to equip students with the necessary skills to stimulate critical thinking skills and develop a scientific bent of mind which would enable them to solve problems and develop the required skills for this highly competitive world.

It is necessary to help, guide, motivate, and prepare the students to excel both in academics and real life. Using integrated technology in both their classrooms and other activities gives them an advantage at the early stage of education. To experience cutting-edge technology, students of DPS STS School have also visited  NASA Kennedy Space Centre where they attended lectures by NASA engineers and astronauts, witnessed and experienced many more technological wonders.

 Technology has become an integral part of how people work, study, and live. Teaching students how to use technology to learn, research, collaborate, and solve problems from an early age will better prepare them for their careers. By learning to use technology in the classroom, children are developing the skills and knowledge that are essential in today's world.
