Three-week measles-rubella vaccination campaign begins Saturday

A three-weeklong ‘Measles-Rubella (MR) Vaccination Campaign- 2020’ will begin on February 29 across the country aiming at fulfilling the national measles elimination target.

During the campaign from February 29 to March 21, all children aged between nine months and 10 years all over the country will be provided with one douse of MR vaccine to prevent transmission of measles and rubella virus, said sources at Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

About 3.40 crore children will be given the vaccine across the country during the programme, the sources added, reports BSS.
