Trade via Sonamasjid Land Port to remain suspend for nine days

Export-import activities between Bangladesh and India through the Sonamasjid Land Port in Chapainawabganj will remain suspended for nine days on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

Toufiqur Rahman Babu, general secretary of Sonamasjid Land Port Export-Import Association, said the trade activities will remain closed from August 9 to August 17 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest festival of Muslims.

The port activities will resume on August 18, reports UNB.

However, immigration services through the port will remain normal during this period.
