Truck overturns on Dhaka-Chattogram highway, killing two

Two workers were killed and two others injured when a truck overturned on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla early Sunday.

Of the deceased, Mamtaz Mia, 50, was a resident of Sadar upazila while the other victim, Bacchu Mia hailed from Uttar Digholdi of Bhola district.

The accident took place when the Chattogram-bound generator laden truck from Dhaka overturned at Falgunkara, leaving two workers dead on the spot and two others injured, said Abdullah Al Mahfuz, officer-in-charge of Chauddagram Police Station.

The injured were taken to a local hospital, reports a news agency.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to a local hospital for autopsy.
