Workshop on domestic violence against women starts

A two-day workshop on Domestic Violence (Prevention and Protection) Act, 2010, its Rules, 2013 was started from today (Wednesday) aimed at making people aware against domestic violence against women.

Women Support and Investigation Division (WSID), Dhaka Metropolitan Police and Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) are jointly organising the workshop in the capital.

Deputy Commissioner of police Farida Yasmin and Executive Director Sheepa Hafiza gave inaugural speech on the occasion, BSS reports.

The workshop is aimed at focusing on duty and responsibility of the police personnel in preventing sexual harassment in workplaces.
