Shahadat Hossain Mamun, 21, a second semester student of Premier University drowned while swimming with his friends in a waterfall in Nayanduwaria area under Mirsharai upazila of Chittagong on Friday afternoon.
Sub-inspector of Mirsahrai Police Station, Kamal Uddin said Mamun, hailing from Shorshadi village of Feni district, went to Napitta Chhara, a mountain waterfall, with six of his friends.
Being informed, a diver team led by Iftekhar Alam from the Agrabad fire service rushed to the spot and recovered the body around 5:00 pm, reports a local news agency.
