The Association for Mentoring and Inclusion in Economics calls for papers in Applied Microeconomics

The Association for Mentoring in Economics (AMIE) was founded in 2020 by 2 Economics professors in American universities, Priya Mukherjee and Nishith Prakash. Their mission is to bridge the gap and difficulties junior economists face in this profession, especially when they’re minorities.

Benefits:

  • The AMIE workshop provides a platform for Ph.D. students in economics/public policy/applied economics/agricultural economics to present their work and receive feedback on current research projects.

Eligibility:

  • Ph.D. students in economics/public policy/applied economics/agricultural economics, who are actively working on their dissertation and have a complete research paper that would benefit from feedback from an economist in their field. 
  • Students on the job market in 2022-23 are also encouraged to apply.

Application requirements:

  • your research paper (complete draft), 
  • your most recent CV, and 
  • a cover letter (here you may provide information about any experiences you have had as a member of a group you identify with, and/or how you think you would benefit from the AMIE Workshop). 
  • Please also include the name and contact information of your primary PhD advisor
