“He (Justice Sinha) made judicial coup attempt and tarnished the image of the judiciary in the way. He made the whole judicial system questionable. None expected this from him,” he said.

Senior journalist and executive editor of daily Janakantha Swadesh Roy said Justice Sinha was ambitious and that’s why he damaged the judiciary.

“Justice Sinha lost his capacity to remain as judge when he met the family of war crimes convict Salauddin Qader Chowdhury,” he said.

They came up with the observations while addressing a roundtable titled “Broken Dream of Justice Sinha: Future of Judiciary” at capital’s CIRDAP auditorium this morning.

Conducted by Barrister Tureen Afroz and presided over by senior journalist Rashed Chowdhury, the roundtable was also addressed, among others, by Vice-Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, advocate Joynul Abedin, Subrata Chowdhury, Awami League leaders Rashek Rahman and Dr Badrul Hasan Kachi and former student leader Bappaditya Basu, reports BSS.
