Today (Saturday) is the third death anniversary of Md Abul Kasem, DAFC (Retd).
Abul Kasem died on November 10, 2015 at Sreerampur under Badalgachi Upazila in Naogaon. He left behind wife, three sons, three daughters, eight grandchildren and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.
He is the father of Md Jahangir Alam, Senior Sub-Editor at The Financial Express.
On the occasion, a milad mahfil and qurankhani will be held at his son Jahangir Alam’s residence in Dhaka after Asr prayers.
His relatives, friends and well-wishers have been requested to attend the programme and pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
In his long successful career, Abul Kasem, a former first class gazetted officer, served in various capacities at Defence Finance (Army) and the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh (CAG).
He was a patron of education and discharged his duties as a chairman of Sreerampur FK High School for two terms after he went on retirement from government service.
