The English Club members of Chittaong Independent Univesity (CIU) have extended assistance for a group of street children studying in ‘Borner School’ (school of alphabets) in the port city, says a press release.
Recently the students of Liberal Arts and Social Secience associated with the club spent a whole day at the school. They distributed lunch among 54 children there.
Besides handing over books, copies and pencils to the children, the club members also arranged a drawing competition for them. Best artists recieved awards.
Assistant Professor Sarmen Rodix, also moderator of the club, appreciated such initative of the university students.
