Vested quarter trying to get benefits using names of PM, her family: Government

The government says a vested quarter is trying to get government works or other benefits using the names of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members.

It warned that stern actions will be taken against these illegal benefit seekers, according to a BSS report published on Monday.

"Recently, it has been noticed that a vested quarter is trying to get government works or other benefits using the names of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana and names of their offspring and being involved in illegal money transactions," according to an official release.

The statement said that none of the family members of Prime Minister and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is involved in any kind of business or endorses such lobbying.

"Strong legal actions must be taken against those who will try to do such fraudulent activities using the names of Prime Minister and family members of Bangabandhu," it said.

If such kind of request or lobbying or attempt to get illegal benefits is noticed by anyone, s/he has been requested to send information about the swindlers to the following officials.
