The government has raised the prices of rawhide of sacrificial cows to Tk 47-52 per square foot (sft) (salted) in the capital and to Tk 40-44 outside Dhaka during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
Last year, the prices of rawhide of sacrificial cows were Tk 40-45 per square foot in Dhaka and Tk 33-37 outside the capital.
Besides, the price of goat hide has been fixed at Tk 18-20 per square foot while the price of Baqri hide fixed at Tk 12-14 per square foot for the upcoming Eid.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi disclosed the prices at a press briefing after a meeting with the tanners on Tuesday.
