Adobe Photoshop, one of the most popular photo editing software programs in the world, has done an AI revolution recently, something that can be compared to ChatGPT's triumph.

Professional photographers and designers have used Adobe Photoshop for decades to create stunning images. It has been arguably the best photo editing tool in the market.

However, being the best wasn't enough for Adobe as incorporating generative AI with the already powerful software has somewhat made it invincible looking.

AI-powered features in Photoshop

There are several AI-powered features in Photoshop that can help you edit your photos more quickly and easily. We look into some of the most handy AI features in Adobe that'll change your photo editing experience once and for all.

Content-aware fill: This feature can automatically remove unwanted objects from your photos, filling in the gaps seamlessly.

Remove tool: This tool can also remove unwanted objects from your photos, giving you more control over the process.

Curvature pen tool: With this tool, you can create smooth, curved lines that are difficult to draw manually.

Match font: This tool can find fonts similar to the ones used in your photos.

Preserve details 2.0: This feature can resize your photos without losing important details and textures.

Generative fill

One of the most exciting new AI features in Photoshop is Generative Fill. This feature allows you to create new photo content by simply providing a text prompt.

For example, you could type 'add a cat to this photo' or 'make the sky bluer.' Photoshop will then use its AI to generate a new image with the content you requested.

Generative Fill is still in beta, but it can potentially revolutionise how we edit photos. With Generative Fill, you can quickly and easily create stunning images that would be impossible to create manually.

How to use AI in Photoshop

To use AI features in Photoshop, you need to be a subscriber to Adobe Creative Cloud. Once you have a subscription, you can open Photoshop and use the AI features.

To use Content-Aware Fill, select the object you want to remove and then click on the Content-Aware Fill button in the toolbar. Photoshop will automatically remove the object and fill in the gaps seamlessly.

To use the Remove Tool, select the object you want to remove and then click and drag on it. Photoshop will create a mask that you can use to remove the object.

Use the Curvature Pen Tool to create a curved line by clicking and dragging on the image. Photoshop will automatically create a curve that follows the path you drew.

Click on the text you want to change the font of. Then, click on the Match Font button in the toolbar and select the font you want to use.

For Preserve Details 2.0, select the image you want to resize. Then, click on the Preserve Details 2.0 button in the toolbar and enter the desired dimensions.

To use Generative Fill, click on the Generative Fill button in the toolbar. Then, type a text prompt that describes the content you want to add to your image. Photoshop will then generate a new image with the content you requested.

AI is rapidly changing the way we edit photos. If you are a photographer or designer, try out the AI features in Photoshop. You may be surprised at how much they can help you improve your work.
